HELLO
I’m Rachel, a pattern designer devoted to reviving the quiet elegance of Colonial American decorative arts.
My passion for art and deep interest in American history converge in a design philosophy rooted in the American Colonial and Revolutionary periods. I draw inspiration from the landscapes, architecture, and enduring charm of 18th- and early 19th-century America as well as from the Colonial Revival movement of the early 20th century.
Each pattern I create begins with archival research, visits to historic homes, and a fascination with early American folklore. From pastoral vignettes and grand estates to hand-drawn florals and natural motifs, my designs aim to preserve and reimagine the spirit of early America, one pattern at a time.
Whether adorning a parlor, study, or country house, my wallpapers are crafted to evoke the gentle grandeur of the past, offering a timeless sense of place for the interiors of today.
“Life imitates art far more than art imitates life…”
Oscar Wilde
